Etsy Tips: Shipping

So, I’ve been spending a lot of time in the Etsy Chat rooms lately. It’s been great for meeting new people and promoting. And has actually led to about 7 sales in the last three days!

While chatting with an Etsian last night, I realized no everyone knows all the little tricks and time savers that are available to them through features we all already use! It inspired me to write todays blog about shipping.

I’m sure you’ve already noticed that you can create shipping labels right from PayPal. Maybe you over looked it thinking it would be too time consuming or complicated. But, I garuntee you … once you use it, you’ll never want to step foot in the post office again!

You’re probably already receiving your payments through PayPal, so the money to use for postage is already there! Simply log into your paypal, you’ll see in your account page that there is a little button by the incoming money that says Print Shipping Label.

Click this and it will take you to the shipping form. Your address and your buyers address will auto fill. You just select what kind of shipping (I do first class unless its over 13 oz, then do priority), select your pacakge type, enter your weight and click continue. On the next screen click Pay and Print.
**Get a scale! I use mine DAILY! You can pick one up for $10-15 at an office supply store!

A preview of your label will come up, click Print Label. Out comes your shipping label and your pay pay is automatically deducted for the shipping amount. Now all you need to do is apply the label to your package and drop it in the mail box! Easy Peasy!

No more long lines at the post office, no more being restricted by the post office’s limited hours! Print your shipping label as soon as you make your sale! 🙂

hope this helps!
